Governance
Members of the Board of Directors (Board) include the following 15 individuals:
- Executive Committee - past president, president, vice president, treasurer, executive director (ED) (ex-officio).
- Industry Directors – climber/production arborist, commercial arborist, consulting arborist, educator (arboriculture or related field), municipal arborist, tree grower, and utility arborist.
- Florida Urban Forestry Council (FUFC) Representative.
- Two (2) At Large (presidential appointees).
Term of Office
- Executive Committee - All officers, newly elected, take office at the beginning of the year, and hold office until the end of their designated term. Vice president serves on the Executive Committee for three (3) years: first as vice president, second as president and third as past president. The treasurer serves a three (3) year term. The ED shall hold office subject to approval of the Board.
- Industry Directors take office at the beginning of the year following their election and serve a three (3) year term unless they are completing an unexpired term.
- FUFC Representative serves a three (3) year term.
- Two (2) At Large representative serve during the appointing president’s term.
